1a) what are the 4 rules for religious harmony?

Rule No. 1-All groups have to exercise tolerance and restraint.

No.2-Keep religions seperate from politics.

No.3-Government must remain secular.

No.4-Maintain the common space that all Singaporeans share.

b) In your opinion, how can we maintain a common space in schools?

I think we could make different races experience different cultures so they understand more about their friends religion. When they understand more aboutother people's races they will not insult their religion anymore.

2) Do you respect other religions? Why or why not? What do you think of children who stay away from their parents' funerals because they believe the traditional rites are against their new religion?

Yes, I do respect other religions.I respect other religions because I think that other religions deserve respect even if their relegion has a bad history. Children run away from their parent's funerals because kids nowadays are modern and do not believe in their religions anymore. Some people will scold Indian 's black skin. This although is a small stuff but it will hurt people. Sometimes I would let slip that Indians are black. One other common disrespect is during Hari Raya Puasa some non-Muslims would make the Muslim feel hungry by bringing the food and waving it in front of them during their fasting. For Malays I don't know how they insult other religions but I never insult other religions.

1a)what is the modus operandi(method of operating) of the con artist?

Their modus operandi or method of operation is posing as a volunteer for welfare organisations on a project to spruce up the homes of these senior citizens . Doing this will let the unsuspecting victim allow them into their house. When they are not paying attention to them, they will steal the victim's valuables.

b)What are the Lion befriended planning to do to ensure the old folk do not get conned again?

They will ensure that the experienced or full time staff to the new volunteer to the senior citizens to ensure that they recognise the person when they see him.

2)Do you like social work ?Why or Why not?

Yes. But I don't like to do social work because I think it is a waste of time and I don't like to interact with others. It is not easy to be a volunteer I think because it is not just about kind heartedness but including patience and understanding and of course the need to stand their temper . I like social work because when I watch the TV shows they always volunteer to help the senior citizens to do work because they would be happy. When I see them happy, it brightens up my day.

1a) What are the 2 worrying trends about drug trafficking mentioned in the article?

The two trends are that more teenagers as young as 14 and women are caught in drug trafficking & the dealers are using Singaporeans to traffic drugs from one country to another or from other countries to Singapore.

b) Why are Singaporeans increasingly being used as "drug mules"?

The main reasons are that Singaporeans do not need a visa for many places and they are also less likely to be checked as Singaporeans have a reputation for being tough on drugs.

2) What will you do if you find out that one of your friends is selling drugs? How will you react if someone tries to sell you drugs?

I would tell him the different causes of drugs and how harshly they would punish him/her if they get caught. I will first ask what are his/her problems and if he/she is selling drugs then I will try to resolve or minimise the problems.I will do this only if he/she listens to me.If he/she doesn't listen to me , I would rather report him to the police about his act. I would rather he learnt from his mistakes then keeping it a secret from his friends and family. I know the sentences are harsh, but he/she brought it upon him/herself by selling drugs and helping to bring them to other countries. If someone wanted to sell drugs to me I would ignore him and later I would inform the police. If he is a person I know I would try to persuade him to stop. If I can't stop the person I would run as fast as I could and call the police.

1a) Why is it easy for burglers to break into stalls at the two markets in the Kallang area?

The two markets in the Kallang areas are an easy target for burglars to break into because the units have open rooftops ,leaving the stalls exposed to the thieves. The other problems are that the stall holders like place their money in their stalls thinking that it would be safe to place there and also the thieves are smart in stealing things.

b) What is the Geylang East Central Merchants' Association going to do about the break-ins?

The Geylang East Central Merchants' associations, which oversees the Aljunied Avenune 2 hawker centres , held a meeting about the break-ins a week after they happened. The Chairman Tan Seng Peng decided they would look into improving the security and modifying the stall layout.NEA responded that those stallholder who want to equip their stalls with additional security features like grilles . They are also going to make a drawing and measurement of the features they plan to install to ensure they fall within height requirement. The stall holder had to pay administrative fees of about $16 as well as paying a reinstatement deposit before work started.

2) What do you think should be done to tighten the security of the markets? What do you think of the burglars who brazenly break into the stalls?

I think they should ''cover'' the possible places of the food centre that the thieves could enter and make something that can prevent the thieves from climbing up the metal poles and pipes like making the height of the metal poles higher or building another wall tall enough to prevent them from climbing over. The stall holder also must do their jobs by keeping the money and valuables with them at all times when they leave the stall even if it was in peak hours. They should also buy insurance to guard against their valuables. The in-charges of this two market should install grilles and cameras in every stall. The two market stall holders should work together and try to catch the thieves so that the stall holders can safely go back to work. I think that they might find this chance to get cash.

1(a) Why is cheerleading an expensive sport?

It is expensive as the products that are needed to prepare for the cheerleading competitions are very costly. The hair products alone cost $50 per competition. The tailored costumes cost $100 - $400 each. Nutritional supplements and vitamins cost $50 - $130 per bottle.Medical insurance Which are usually covered by schools and organisations cost $30 - $100 per person. Some examples I will not type as there are too many.

(b) What makes cheerleading such a tough sport?

It is a tough sport as it is physically demanding. Some cheerleaders are given a break as they have sustained injuries during practice. Some examples of injuries that the cheerleaders risk are concussions, sprained ankles, strained muscles and torn hamstrings. For young men, wrist pains from lifting the women are common and partial memory lossafter falling from a pyramid and sustainig a con cussion is not unheard of either.

1. What is your opinion of cheerleaders? If given a chance, would you join cheerleading? Why/ why not?

My opinion is that it is a physically demanding sport. It requires a lot of skill and concentration. Those who want to join are warned that they risk getting alot of injuries when they try for cheerleading. I myself, if given the chance would not join cheerleading as I do not want to suffer any injuries. Some men or ''boys'' shy away because of the teasing they will get from their friends about their percieved lack of manliness. Still some men join as they think it is a challenge to try new things. They also think that if they do it for awhile, they will get immune to thier friends teasing them.

Q1] What are some of the problems involved in separating a conjoined twin?

There have been previous cases of doctors trying to separate twins that are joined together. Those cases ended up in the twins dying due to severe blood loss. I know that the doctors intention is to make the twin's lives better. Conjoined twins are very unfortunate to be born this way. If one of them have to do something, the other has to follow as they are conjoined. Most problems that the doctors face are damaging the brain, as conjoined twins are usually joined at the head.

Q2] If you were a part of a conjoined twin, would you rather stay together with your twin for the rest of your life or would you risk both your lives to go for an operation? Why?

If I was part of a conjoined twin, I would rather risk our lives to go for an operation as I would not like to be stuck with someone for the rest of my life. When I have to go to the toilet, my twin has to follow me as we are joined. I find talking about such things sick as if the other twin is a girl, it would be devastating. I think I will stop talking about these things, other problems are we can never go somewhere that we both like, as we would like different things. This would cause us to argue over small things.

Q1] What are big companies doing in order to be more socially responsible?

The companies are not cutting down on their Corporate Social Responsibility[CSR]. Some companies are stepping up their efforts to promote good corporate citizenship, according to CSR Asia which is a Hong Kong based firm. Companies are giving free field trips for Indonesian orphans from The Salvation Army. They also have an energy saving project which reduces business costs. Being a responsible company means living our values to enable us to serve food responsibly and work towards a sustainable future, says the communications director of McDonald's. They also invite their clients to join in their environmental efforts.

Q2] How important it is to be socially responsible? And do you think it is still possible to make a social impact during the recession?

Higher birth and higher death rate around the world. It is important to be socially responsible as a company because without being socially responsible, there is no chance for the company to earn money so the company should repay the public by being a socially responsible company. Being socially responsible is the most important thing for businesses as it shows how capable they are in handling their jobs. I think it is possible to make a social impact during the recession as the recession only effects how much they are making. If the companies do their part to be socially responsible, they can make more money.

Q1] What are some of the things that schools in Singapore are doing in order to take care of the environment?

Some things that schools in Singapore are doing in order to preserve the environment, for example is to educate their pupils to reduce, reuse and recycle used materials like glass, paper and plastics.

Q2] Do you think one person's effort in reducing; reusing and recycling will make a difference in saving the environment? What steps have you taken in the effort to save the earth?

Yes. By recycling and reusing used items instead of disposing of them, we can reduce the amount of waste produced. If more waste is piled up, there will be not enough space for us to expand our population. In the future maybe humans may find a way of disposing waste materials without affecting the environment and damaging nature. I have started to recycle materials that can be reused instead of just throwing them away. By doing our part in protecting the environment, we can prevent global warming from destroying the ozone layer and increasing the Earth's temperature making it impossible for us to live.

Qn1]How does the treatment programme of the Singapore Prison Service help sex offenders? They are assessed on factors that shape their likelihood to re-offend such as how deviant their sex habits are, their attitudes towards sex offences and their history, after that they go through three programs. The first is how to defeat the secrecy, shame and denial surrounding their acts. The second one is to break up the thinking of sex.In the final one is to know how to develop a relapse prevention plan.Outside prison, they are treated by their family's help , counselling and the volunteers help them to find a job to keep them busy.

Qn2]Do you think that sex offenders should be given a second chance in the society? State your reasons.
We must see the situation before considering if the prisoner has the sincerity to right their wrongs , why not we forgive them but some are optional as said they want to change but after a long time they also didn't change .this kind of people should be reconsidered before giving them a chances. That kind of people should go through one of the counselling like in the prison but only one difference is they are not in as prisoner but as the out casted civilian. If the the prisoner is like the prisoner Bala Kuppusamy who always goes in and out of prison ,we should not forgive him until he has reached the stage like in the above prisoner I mentioned. I think there is no way for him to change unless he fully absorbs the pain he inflicted to the victim.

Qn1] What is illegal logging?
Illegal logging is the by breaking laws on cutting, processing and transporting wood products surrounds what is and is not legal in many countries as it is unauthorized and uncontrolled tree removal by various vested interests, local, national and international purpose.

Qn2]What can you do to stop the Sumatran tiger from extinction?
I can help by making a team that will help people learn how to treasure those endangered animals as I think that the cause of extinct species is mostly man made , illegal logging of trees and killing the tigers for the valuable body parts like fur, teeth and penis for selling as they are worth a fortune, people use illegal ways to hunt them down as it is the cheapest way , I would also help the tigers by giving suggestions like raising the price for fines on illegal hunting , I also can inform people that if more tigers die , it will affect every person in Sumatra as it will harm mother nature.

Innocence stolen without my permission
Innocence gone without my submission

Innocence lost through another’s plan
Innocence no longer for another man

Innocence turned to hatred and fear
Innocence gone, no man can come near

Innocence faded before it’s begun
